Mimosa is a gorgeous little house with spectacular views over the Evretou Dam and the sea. This pretty villa is surrounded by its own gardens which are carefully tended and filled with Mediterranean herbs, roses and jasmine.

Photos

There are so many different photos of Mimosa depending on the time of day, at sunrise the gardens overlooking the Dam are shaded by the palm tree and bathed in a bright light. At sunset, a golden pink glow covers the pool terrace and herb gardens. It’s difficult to choose which to select as I could easily post several of the same scene at different times of the day. The best way to see them all is to stay there!

“Amazing views of Ocean, Akamas Peninsular, Evretou Damn from this private villa”

A great place to unwind.
★ ★ ★ ★ ☆
From our initial enquiry to our arrival at Mimosa the booking process couldn't have been easier. Great support and prompt feedback to any queries we had from Graham, and Carrie's local knowledge meant her initial visit to make sure everything was Ok at the start of our holiday was extremely worthwhile.
The driving instructions to the villa were easy to follow and it took us no time at all to get there from the airport. The villa is in a great little spot,(yes the views are that good) so easy to nip down to Byron's supermarket and driving down into Polis taking the road through Steni is scenic and almost traffic free.
There is everything you need inside the villa including great wi fi connection and British TV if you want it, but when you're coming to Cyprus in August its all about the outdoor space. The gardens are well kept with lots of different areas to sit enjoy either the sun or the shade throughout the day and the seating area under the gazebo is a great place to chill with a drink in the evening. Sitting at the wooden picnic table in the front garden at twilight is a great place to experience bats swooping so close by that you can almost feel the movement of air as they fly past. The pool is probably due a new liner but was the best way to cool off during the day and it was kept sparklingly clean during our stay although we never saw the pool man who must have arrived very early so as no to disturb us.
The road running alongside the villa is well screened making the villa feel very private and although there is some traffic noise, we didn't find it intrusive.
The villa is above the humidity line so benefits from being a couple of degrees cooler than down on the coast or inland and we found that by keeping the doors and windows open we could keep the villa cool as the breeze flowed though. The insect screens on the windows and doors meant we were able to do this without allowing in any unwanted pests.
Lots of places to eat out in Polis and Lachi both a short drive away and The Watermill and Steni Taverna are worth a visit if you want somewhere on the doorstep but our favourite was Sa Buneri in Simou overlooking the Everetou Dam. Lovely hosts, beautiful setting and delicious food (we went twice during our visit).
We had a lovely two weeks at Mimosa and would definitely consider visiting again in the future.
Thank you once again Graham and Carrie for a wonderful holiday.

Anon,

We stayed at villa 'Mimosa' for a week during October half term. We couldn't wish for a better place. The weather was ideal! The views at villa was just breath taking. Every morning we enjoyed breakfast at gazebo outside and every evening we watched the amazing sunset and had some BBQ. The swimming pool was big enough and maintained well.We found everything we needed in the villa and more. On our first day we were welcomed with local fruits and some beverages. It was really hard to go to explore Cyprus on a daily basis and leave the beautiful views. If you go there we recommend you visit Latchi harbour and rent a speed boat. It's just few minutes drive from villa and we guarantee you will love the possibility to enjoy blue lagoon on your own(having in mind you going off season ). We recommend this villa to anyone who's thinking to go there. Big Thank you to the owners and maintenance team. Indra and Joe Northampton, UK

Indre M.,

Just fantastic - from the moment we arrived 'till we sadly closed the gates on our last day. It may not be the most modern and high tech of properties but thats the charm. Beautiful views over the valley, reservoir and out to the coast. While there was much to do and see in the surrounding areas we always ended up back for an evening dunk in the pool or got the big BBQ going. It was lovely to find the welcome food and drink items on arrival and everything as described (no bad surprises). Graham was great to deal with and the whole transactional process simple. The house has character (for real - not 'Real-Estate Speak') and the grounds as pretty and well maintained as the comfortable interior. All equipment and things you needed were available. The guest handbook is clear and informative and tells you where the closest restaurants and convenience stores are. If you want a very relaxing holiday in a beautiful, private and elevated position but with all you need within a short drive then this is the place. Thank you to Graham and the local Managers for a great 3 week summer holiday.

Geoff M.,

Should have stayed here for two weeks but due to work committments could only manage the second week of our booking, would have loved the two weeks as this villa is absolutley fantastic, secluded and not overlooked, the entire villa and gardens are a sheer delight to spend lazy days, the car is essential as you will need it for getting into Polis, we would go down to Papantonious supermarket in Polis, stock up on food & booze and just relax by the pool all day, the kitchen has all the essentials for eating in, theres an electric orange juice squeezer for fresh juice in the mornings, a bag of juice oranges is only 2 euros, the villa itself is spotless and well equipped, the garden and pool areas are wonderful and the veiw down to polis and latchi and out to sea are amazing, loved sitting out at night watching the sun go down having a few dinks, just a pity we could only have a week, we would love to go back and spend more time there, outstanding.

Derek K.,

This was our second time at the villa and it's perfect, you have everything you need here, lovely villa and great outdoors areas all around the villa, the views are amazing from villa set on the hillside, you can see the coast, the dam, the reservoir and the rolling hills of the countryside. You can enjoy a day lounging around the pool in the sun, then light the BBQ and watch the sun go down, the sunsets are amazing from here. Locally you have a restaurant just down the road called the Watermill, a lovely place to visit for a drink or a meal and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Shopping and restaurants in Polis and Latchi with all the restaurants being good. The beach is a short drive with plenty of places to eat and drink. We'll definitely be returning for another visit
